  Club Displays Print

The joint District Conference is a month away.  District Governor Rupp has asked me to be our District Club Displays coordinator for the conference.  Every club is welcome and encouraged to put your club on display.  This is wonderful forum to proudly show attendees what your club is doing.  You can highlight things such as, community and International  projects, fundraising and social events.  You can display anything that you want to share with your fellow Rotarians.  I see this as a unique opportunity to share ideas and possibly nurture project partnerships.  I encourage each c lub President to appoint a club member to work on this initiative and to pass that person’s contact information along to me as soon as possible.

I will pass along information as it becomes available.  So far I do know that Governor Rupp has secured a large room and that club displays will be available for viewing during the entire weekend.  If you have questions or comments I can be contacted via email at rotaryjhg@comcast.net.  My cell number is 412-612-7643.

Plans:

  1. Tables and electricity will be available.  Just let me know if you need one or both

Thanks and see you at conference

This will be the first time that District 7300 & 7330 will be combined for one District Conference. It’s going to be a huge event and talked about for years to come, so you do not want to miss it. I will be reporting about the various events in future newsletters. This will include a fashion show, plenary sessions, Monte Carlo night, golf outing, PDG dinner , Foundation luncheon, and more.

Please mark your calendars for these important dates in 2007. In addition, why not list the dates in the Calendar of Events section of your Club bulletin, so the dates appear and serve as a reminder to members.

Las Vegas Night

At this year’s District Conference, after dinner on Friday from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM, we’re having a full Las Vegas night, including gaming tables. We are asking Clubs to donate gift baskets to be used for gifts for the winners. The players with the largest number of chips will win the baskets.

Day care available? You bet there is. Print

We are planning to provide a day care facility during meals to accommodate Rotarians with young families. The children will have the opportunity to meet other kids, play games, eats shacks, and in general have a lot of fun.
