Q. I am trying to open an e-mail attachment that has .pps as its extension. No .pps extension is listed in the file types registered on my computer, thus I am not able to open the attachment. Can you help me?
A. Files ending with the .pps extension are created by people using Microsoft's somewhat costly PowerPoint presentation program. They include slide shows, modest animations and various graphics bells and whistles designed to be projected on a screen or printed into boring sheaves of 8 x 10 paper. read more ...

| Should you be Networking? (Posted on - Thursday, February 08, 2007Attention fellow Rotarians: Wednesday, February 7th
I am planning a networking event for the District and am seeking volunteers for a committee to get it moving. I made a commitment to Governor Rupp that this event would be the first one of its kind, and hopefully the first of many, and it would take place during his term. I have a couple of people interested in helping me organize it and the ideas have been great, but the more help I can get, the more successful the event will be. I have scheduled the first planning committee meeting for Wednesday, February 7th at Finnegan’s Wake. It is located on General Robinson St on the North Side across from PNC Park and there is a parking garage attached ($2.00 for two hours). The first meeting will be primarily brainstorming and delegating duties. If you can afford the time in your schedule to commit to the project, I’ll see you there, 6:00 at Finnegan’s Wake (View a Map) “There is nothing like the heart of a volunteer”
